Top of the World

Today was another day of unique landscapes ... mountains, rivers, valleys, glaciers.  How can this be?  Everyday is different.  Amazing to witness what nature can do when left untouched.

The main challenge today was the crossing of 3 passes including the highest one of the trip at 5,350m (17,600ft).

Great views, great stops for "maggi" noodles and ginger-lemon-honey tea at very picturesque locations at very high altitudes.  No altitude sickness yet.

Being at an altitude of 17,500ft, surrounded by snow peaked mountains, with an incredibly deep blue sky, an endless horizon and views below … way below … makes me wonder if this is what Everest climbers get to see.

These pictures say it all.
