We took an early flight out of Leh … hard to clear that ring
of mountains that raises to 20,000+ ft … interesting take off ... full throttle, straight up.
Immediately upon arrival to Delhi airport we headed to
Agra ... took us one hour to get through the traffic in Delhi.
Checked in at the Jaypee Palace
and were in for a shock after so many days roughing it. Great complex … white marble everywhere … doormen,
greeters, staff everywhere … big pool … 4 restaurants … a proper shower!
Went for a swim … dinner … and bed. Tomorrow, we will visit the Taj Mahal and the Red Fort as we make our way to the airport in Delhi for our flight to Dallas.
